What are “Natural” Wines?
Natural wines are in high demand due to the winemakers’ focus on sustainable growing methods, indigenous yeasts, and minimal intervention vinification that allows these wines to fully express the terroir of the region they hail from. Natural wine is also a great option for those looking for wines with fewer sulfites, as natural winemakers generally add little to no additional sulfites to their wines, and for those with a vegan diet as many of these wines are not filtered or fined with animal derived products.

Biodynamic Growing Methods–What are they?
Biodynamic wines are wines made with the use of biodynamic growing methods both to grow the fruit and during post-harvest processing. Biodynamic grape production uses organic farming methods such as using compost as fertilizer, interplanting with cover crops that support biodiversity, and avoiding the use of pesticides while also employing organic soil supplements, following a planting calendar dependent on astronomical configurations, as well as treating the earth as “a living and receptive organism.”
